Show HN: We made a new theme to increase engagement on our website
zenmemes.comBackstory: We run an old-internet-style website called ZenMemes.
Recently, end-user testing has shown that many users find this site disorienting, because there is no cookie banner, and at no point are you told the experience is better in the app.
To help them adapt, we built a new theme called Engagify. We made this page default to the theme so it's easier to test out.
Actually quite pleasant e.g. compared to https://news.com.au.
Your cookie banner is half my screen on mobile! I have never seen a bigger one on any website ever!
lol not sure if satire or serious
Yes, it's satire. There should be a button in the bottom left corner to make it all go away.
Thanks. I hate it. As I should.
