Show HN: Pumpkins.sh – claim, carve, and display a pumpkin to the world
pumpkins.shWhat if....there was a near infinite pumpkin patch where anyone can claim and carve a pumpkin then show-case it to the world?
Here are 1 million pumpkins. Pick one. Make it your own.
Have a VR headset? Put it on and explore the patch.
The whole idea of claiming and carving is pretty fun. I liked being able to explore the pumpkin patch instead of just looking at a normal website. Sometimes I wasn't really sure where to go next after claiming my pumpkin though.
It's cool you traveled to Georgia (live here)! How did you like it?
Almost forgot, the idea is great and impl has quite impressive performance (including map mode)
Loved it. Been there multiple times since. Probably spent a year total in Tbilisi. One of my fav places on earth.
Neat! might I suggest some occlusion for lit pumpkins? Drawing all those blooms is going to get rough.
Fun, thx for sharing
Lots of fun and I can definitely see it growing a lot, it would be great if you could search for a pumpkin name and it would take you to it. Great work on this.
Thank you! Added search, it’s accessible from the menu.
Very cool! Clever idea.
