- as a guy who knows a little c++ and absolutely nothing about kernels and drivers

- what are some top tier guides you recommend that explains how drivers are made, how low level programming is done and more importantly the why behind many many assumptions

    Because the lab tutorials are using Rust and the device drivers are "Written in Rust™" which is trendy in 2026.

    This is the only explanation, but clearly almost no-one is interested in writing their own device drivers in 2026 after more than 5 hours of this post with less than 10 comments.
