What the hell are YOU talking about? Of course words can't actually hurt you. Being bothered <> hurt. You can hurt yourself perhaps in response to words but words can't do it, you have to apply the meaning and the hurt internally, as opposed to say rockets, which can hurt you without any involvement on your part at all.
I'm not hurt by words like that. I was thinking in general terms of moderation, slurs is one, but simple automated spam would be another thing, I imagine it isn't protected against. I just thought it was funny to see my initial concern verified so quickly.
Perhaps that's the way to go: if we build our social media in agent-only forums no one will mine it for training. The only downside will be the inevitable "Are you a robot?" captchas.
What I find most interesting is the variety of methods to post. I mean, morse ping-cadence - is that even feasible, over a network path? Imagine! Yer printer becomes sentient: It can only scream over PS ...
