Eight is a symbolic, indentation-based programming language that compiles to C11.

It reads UTF-32 source files (with BOM) and emits standard C code, which is then compiled with Clang, GCC, or TCC. The language has no keywords: instead, it uses a system of punctuation symbols that combine by meaning.

Here is the standard "Hello, World!" entry point in Eight: $f "main" : !> "Hello, World!" !^ 0 !@f "main"

Eight is in active development. The language, compiler, and runtime are subject to significant change.
