This doesn't really explain public vs. private. The implication is that private means renting a dedicated system, though their "solution" quotes virtual cores and claims a public cloud equivalent would be $1,220/month, which seems unnecessarily high.

    I don’t think the author has a clue, they’re bitching about vercel and others like it, not an actual ‘cloud’ provider like gcp or azure
