Not surprising to me, Pinebook Pro is close to e-waste at this point. Pine is somebodies hobby project, nothing serious.

    Pine is a lot of people's hobby project.. If that makes it not serious then most of what is interesting in computing is just a fork of not very serious.

    That's kind of the whole point of the company. They aren't selling retail or enterprise products.

    Except for maybe the Pinecil, their products only exist for hobyists to tinker with.

RISC-V is inevitable.

It is sensible to focus all effort there.

    I agree, but I do wish that they had one generation with a fast, energy efficient ARM processor first, because it will take several generations before RISC-V gets there.

    Instead of base and pro models, I'd rather have ARM and RISC V.
