I'd like to hear this from someone who publishes papers outside the (sorry) borderline pseudo-scientific field of {soci,psych}ology. Sure, there's an endless array of unreplicable studies you can do in these fields without spending your life reading existing literature, but what about math, mechanical engineering, or chemistry?
